Artwork GuidelinesThe success of your printing project depends a lot upon processing your artwork files correctly. Please refer to the requirements below to ensure success for all your jobs. Send artwork one up with 1/8" bleed where required and keep text and boxes 1/8" from the die line. Please leave out the die lines and printer's marks from the artwork. Download Artwork Templates
* A template .pdf file is attached to your order providing the die lines for your artwork. Check your order history to download these files again. Acceptable file formats Press Quality PDF - Make sure all images are at least 300 DPI Adobe Illustrator - Versions from Illustrator 8, including CS3/4. Save as native .ai or .eps file. Convert all fonts to outlines. Images should be embedded. Use document mode CMYK and convert spot colours to CMYK. The following are NOT art programs suitable for print production and should be avoided
File Sizes You can email files up to 10 MB to artwork@norprint.com, but we suggest you use our upload tool on the Upload Artwork page. File compression utilities such as .zip are accepted. Spot Colours We do not print spot colours. We print in 4-colour process (CMYK). Please convert all colours to CMYK equivalents. NOTE: Some colours cannot be accurately reproduced in CMYK--please test before sending! Proofs We will supply a digital proof for your approval. Proofs viewed on a monitor cannot be considered accurate for colour because screens vary enormously in accuracy. Any possible error on an approved proof is not the responsibility of Norprint. Charges for artwork modifications or changes Will be charged at $100 per hour. We will notify you in advance if any artwork requires modification for production. |
